The Allure Beauty Box Opening

Beauty in a Box by ALLURE MAGAZINE for beauty addicts
Finally, after many months of reviewing this offer, I signed up for the ALLURE beauty box (https://beautybox.allure.com/). I just received our first box so let the beauty journey begin. I plan to share with you what I discovered in the box (*we paid for it, so no freebies here, FYI). First of all, rest assured, the products you receive are indeed, full sized generous samples. However, I joined because the photo of the future box was so lovely that I couldn’t resist. But, word of caution: First Come, First Serve for this Box. You might not get what is pictured, but I can say the sizes and offering was generous. I feel the monthly price of $23.00 seems more than worth it for what’s inside.
Here is that I received:
- A Topical Vitamin C Powder-Vitamin C powder
- Verso Super Eye Serum
- Static Nails Pinkie Nude Polish
- Dr. Jarte+ Skin Moisturizer
- Liquid Lipstick in Venom
- La Roche Posay Moisturizer
- Eye Pads by Wilma Schumann
- Rose Noire Masque by Clay de Peau
- Native Fig Hair Conditioner/Shampoo
- Laura Mercier Translucent Powder
Now onto the beauty diary of my personalized box. First, I had to try the Vitamin C powder (link here). Brilliant idea as I have a nice neutral face creme from a Paris Pharmacy I love, by Embroylisse to mix into it. I am putting this one on tonight. Vitamin C is always a boon to anti-aging so let’s see how it improves the texture of my skin, in the next 2 weeks.
The next one I am trying is the eye creme, Number 5 by Verso; I have a similar problem as the beauty editor: everything makes me puffy or allergic. (versoskincare.com) Also eye cremes tend to move around when I sleep, so I am hoping that this one will stay in place. I should add that anything you don’t want to try, is a perfect stocking stuffer or goodie bag filler for the upcoming holidays. You can even ‘gift’ the box to your resident teen who will love getting the small sizes to try.
I should add that I am a certain age (40+) so I asked for skincare, mostly, rather than make-up in my option. I am always looking for unique skincare and treatments to further improve my skin texture. I am blessed as I never spent time in the sun, wrinkles is not my issue. I am always trying to refine my pores and keep my skin clean. Puffy eyes is one issue I am trying to solve. I also have freckles I want to eliminate this winter as well when it’s safe to wear those kinds of products.
Watch this space as I review, try and explore the NOVEMBER ALLURE BOX complete with recommendations and the websites where you can purchase the products. See the ALLURE website to sign up, if you want, but before you do, I will curate this box and its contents for you so you can get a sense of the quality and diversity that is inside each box. And, so on each month with highlights of products I feel are ‘must haves’ for everyone.
