Report Fall Couture Paris Show 2021

I visited the museum in 2013 to see a CASTELBAC Fashion Exhibit, but it has been a work in progress ever since, remaining closed for renovations. There was always a need for someone to step up to save this beautiful space, as the interiors were in dire need of big money. CHANEL has stepped in and with a long term partnership, the museum will finally be what it should have always been: a magnificent Temple of Style. Known as the Palais Galleria, the space has opened to a worldwide audience complete with bookstore, gallery spaces and join the neighborhood of luxury fashion monuments. Across from the Palais de Tokyo, nearby to the YSL museum a short walk away, it is the perfect compliment for ‘fashionistas’ trip to Paris.
With the CHANEL SHOW you can finally see the grandeur, classicism and elegance of this space that is finally used to its best advantage. The show is a beautiful exploration of the heritage designs, fresh new ideas, and shows that the designer has spent a nice period working at home and re-thinking her vision. In case you are not aware, Karl Lagerfeld was her mentor and she worked at his side for many years. Take a look a the video and you will see what I see: lyricism, romance, softness with a nice mix of strong tailoring. The show is truly one of the best I have seen and I believe Karl would have been thrilled to see his beloved brand preserved and presented in this unique location for the rest of time. This coming few seasons promises to be a unique time in the world of fashion as the world opens again.
