Red Carpet Winners: Globes 2017

The carpet is always full of those who win and lose and last night was no exception.  Everyone has their favorite look but there were some that we could all agree on.  The moment when the dress, the actress, the hair and make-up all work together to make a great red carpet moment.  Trends on the carpet ranged from plunging necklines to sequins and shine to very grand skirts.  The jewelry was also spectacular as the big gems were out on the carpet adding to the sparkle to Hollywood’s first big award of the season.  Our favorites were surprises, like Kristen Bell who upgraded her seat at the table. Judith Light, who wore Balmain and dark eyeshadow like a fashion maven. Amy looked beautiful in a modern angular gown by Tom Ford.  Ruth Negga (Loving) was a beautiful super woman in a silver metallic look that checked all three boxes of modernity, minimalism and wow factor for the red carpet.  No red carpet is complete without Natalie Portman, elegant and fashion forward in her Prada gown that was a nod to her recent portrayal of Jackie Kennedy. Because the Golden Globes are a prequel to the Oscars its going to be a great season judging by what we saw last night.
