Our Journey begins….at Fall Market, 2011
There is more to us than meets the eye, but like you, we’re on a journey: What defines a luxury interior now…is it just the materials, workmanship and the sheer force of a design? Where is the client in the picture and how have they responded to changes in the world around them? Are they sensitive to green, ignoring of trends, and simply choosing comfort over style? Or, is style the most important thing…or status, or mass market versus Bespoke? This question stirred us as we walked through over several markets in the past year. Then, it came to us: There’s a design for every client, because the lifestyles of each client is different. Many designers tell me that their goal is to “create” the ideal world for a client….well, yes…true. Who doesn’t want that? But then, what is taste? Are clients hiring designers for their taste level or just to get them things…what is the future of interior design and how it relates to luxury? Comfort, Design, Lifesetyle, Materials, Subtle luxe or just plain Top Drawer Elegance?
We toured all the showrooms and came to the conclusion that not was there something for everyone…but, we realized that its “your world” in the balance. We’ll feature our tours here…one by one of our favorites and let you know…and take a moment to check our magazine as it grows…we’ll feature our designers…products, services, and all sorts of review of new releases, as well as our opinion on design. We’ll gather and resource for you too….and feature projects in the making….
